Compare the whole commitment rather than a headline monthly fee. Incomplete quotes remain unranked. Treat tax treatment and support scope as questions to resolve before choosing a supplier.

Method, assumptions and limitations

Known horizon cost (ex GST) = upfront + monthly × comparison months + other horizon charges. Inclusive prices are divided by 1.1 for comparison. Indicative minimum contract commitment = upfront + monthly × minimum term; other horizon charges are excluded from that separate figure because their timing is unknown.

Ranking requires all costs, GST treatment, contract term and written scope/exclusion notes for all three quotes, plus explicit confirmation of equivalent scope. No ranking is made if a minimum term exceeds the comparison horizon. “None stated” is a useful note when verified, but leaving notes blank remains incomplete. Totals do not capture increases, interest, usage charges, exit liability or service quality unless entered. The lowest calculated price need not be the best choice.
